MISSION
STATEMENT:
To provide individuals and groups with an understanding and working knowledge
of their chosen beauty discipline. This is achieved through the delivery
of quality teaching and by the use of short workshops, lectures, guided
learning times and handouts, with a student to tutor ratio of no more
than 6:1.
VISION STATEMENT:
Kent School of Beauty is committed to ensuring integrity, life-long learning,
and fairness in all aspects of our courses and workshops, and seeks to

a website, promotional material and an online student learning zone.
• Clear details on any costs our clients will incur throughout the
course.
• A good quality learning environment which is welcoming and promotes
health and safety throughout the length of the course.

• An effective response to any complaints and suggestions.
• Reasonable adjustments to learning resources and course content
if our clients have declared a learning difficulty and/or disability.

• Lecturers who support the individual needs of our clients and

• Lecturers who enable and encourage our clients to learn, resulting
in them being able to reach their full potential.

HEALTH
& SAFETY POLICY:
• To provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising
from our courses and workshops, in the classroom, and in the use of equipment,
through risk analysis.
• To consult with our clients on matters affecting their health
and safety
• To provide and maintain safe plant and equipment
• To provide information, instruction and supervision for our clients,
both on location and in the classroom
• To maintain safe and healthy working conditions
• To review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.

LIABILITY
LIMITATION
Kent School of Beauty aims to provide a safe, educational, and enjoyable
experience in all of our workshops.
We assume no liability for any act, error, omission, injury, loss, delay,
mishap, or damage to persons or property arising from any cause during
the course of a Kent School of Beauty workshop or in transit thereto.
We reserve the right to change our itinerary should conditions necessitate,
or to cancel any aspect of the workshop due to exceptional circumstances,
and can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due
to delay or changes in the services to be provided. In the event that
we deem it necessary to cancel the workshop we will provide a full refund
which the participant acknowledges as full and final settlement.
By joining our course you acknowledge that you have read the above information
concerning responsibility and release Kent School of Beauty from any liability.
Kent School of Beauty will assume no liability for injury, illness, or
loss of personal property or expenses thereof associated with their workshops.
PROCESSING OF APPLICATIONS
• Kent School of Beauty will not take responsibility for delayed
postal payments. Kent School of Beauty accepts phone payments through
our secure payment system.
• Course bookings are processed on first come first served basis.
• To secure your place on a course, a completed online booking form
and £50 deposit (non refundable) needs to be received by Kent School
of Beauty.
• Enrolment in to our online learning zone can only be completed
when full payment is made.
• Any balance of payment is due 14 days prior to the course start
date. If any balance is not received by this time, all fees paid will
be forfeited and the course place may be cancelled.
CANCELLATIONS/TRANSFER POLICY/MISSED SESSIONS
The following penalties apply for course cancellations, transfers and
missed session:

We reserve the right to withhold the deposit for cancellation of a course
prior to starting.
• Once a course user name and password has been received no refunds
are available.
• Bookings may be transferred free of charge, subject to availability.
We require at least four weeks notice, less than four weeks will incur
an £50 administration charge
• Non-attendance, will incur 100% of fees paid.
• Multi session courses require the student to attend all sessions;
missed sessions need to be made up before the next course session. This
will need to be done with a one to one session at an additional cost of
£50 per hour.
• Kent School of Beauty is under no obligation to offer a transfer
or refund any fees paid.
CERTIFICATION
Certificates are issued in the name stated on the application form. If
you require a replacement certificate a £5.00 fee is payable. Kent
School of Beauty will issue certificates at the end of your course.
CHANGES TO PERSONAL DETAILS
It is your responsibility to ensure that personal details held by Kent
School of Beauty are correct and to notify us of any changes e.g. name,
address. Written notification of changes in personal details must be sent.
Kent School of Beauty will not be liable for any errors due to incorrect
personal information.
INDIVIDUAL
NEEDS
If you feel you need additional support with particular learning needs
e.g. physical disability, hearing impairment or literacy skills, please
could you inform us of your individual needs on a separate piece of paper,
attached to the booking form. We will contact you to discuss you requirements.
MATERIALS
We supply all the materials needed to complete the course lessons. All
students would benefit from practice in between sessions. Your tutor will
advise you on products and suppliers
UNIFORM
Kent School of Beauty has a relaxed dress code, if you have a uniform
please wear it. Sensible flat shoes are required. Please wear all long
hair tied back.
REFRESHMENTS
Tea/coffee will be provided on all courses. On full day courses there
is a 1 hour break for lunch (not provided).

All course learning materials are the property of the Kent School
of Beauty and must not be copied or reproduced in any other form.
